Andreas Akwara - Biography

Andreas Akwara - Biography

Andreas Akwara was born in Kleve Germany 1965. He startet of with a Group named “A. Gool Gang” playing a mixture of Funk and Jazz that time. Being very interested in theoretical and nuclear physics he soon developed a special interest in soundscapes and electronic music.

An early compilation of early Works (early play around on cheap synthesizer’s) was called Empathy and got the attention of Electronic Music Guru Ron Boots from the Netherlands. It was actually Ron who encouraged Andreas to work out an album, as he liked what he heard on “Empathy” despite the very poor production.

The result was Synthetic Horizon 2002. The Music Critic Paul Reijkens from the Netherlands statet that “Akwara may have set new standards for Space music.” With the very first album- and even though technically it was still under par. Andreas subsequently released a string of releases all entering TOP 10 Ambient Charts in the US.

Here a Critic from Ambient Visions:
"Andreas Akwara is a brilliant electronic musician. He has created some outstanding CD's that combine sequencer e-music and ambient atmospheres. The best of that style – by far – is Synthetic Horizon."

Jim Brenholts from Ambient Visions wrote in 2006: the tracks have no titles. They are ”Parts I – X”. Thus, there are no preconceived notions or expectations. The listers are free to allow the music to dictate the experience. Andreas' soundscapes contain deep atmospheres, dramatic crescendos, heavy sequences, nature samples, symphonic synths and some glitchy dissonance. It is quite a melting pot of sounds and Andreas' sound design skills make it work – seamlessly as a continuous work of art.
It usually comes back to style and the need to categorize music. This is not pure ambience. It is not pure sequencer e-music. It is equal parts of both, combined excellently and deftly. It is an awesome and essential CD!

Reviewed by Jim Brenholts for Ambient Visions

http://www.ambientvisions.com/07012006.htm

In 2010 Andreas made the Score for a Journey through Space for the National Space Center England. The Album to the Score was called “Quantum”.
In 2010 came the Albums Erwachet in 2011 Reinheit and 2012 Klangbild, for which Andreas had a Record Label contract bringing out these albums internationally online.
All Albums hat TOP 10 Placements in US Ambient Charts.

In 2012 Andreas Akwara comes up with an Album he calls Raum. With Album he tries to show that what we conceive as a 3 Dimensional Universe is actually a multiple dimensional Space-Time Continuum, in which Space curves in a way, that makes huge interstellar distances accessible, if we only understand the multiple dimensions that govern its laws. Just as we take shortcuts in a 3 Dimensional System Andreas believes that we can take interstellar shortcuts in a multiple dimensional Space made up of 4 and more dimensions. Space is thus very plastic and not static. This idea influenced the Music he calls “Raum” meaning space. The music is consequently very spacey, and for the first time Andreas Akwara has perfected the Art of making music “fluid” and multiple dimensional. In Raum Andreas displays a mastery in producing electronic music, that actually sets him apart from many other. His style of music being quite in a class of its own, making it quite special, even though reminding of early Jarre, but still unique.

Andreas Akwara now dreams of making open air music shows with a difference. The idea he is having is music playing out of “nowhere”. Andreas wants the audience to be the centre of the show and not the stage. Guests should sit or lie on pillows and become engulfed in a new sound and visual experience, setting them back in time and space and indeed back into their very soul- a process Andreas sees as vital in our today’s fast world, were humans tend to forget their “souls”.

F.E.D. - Biography

Composer and pianist Frantz Eddy Daniel Jr., or F.E.D, was born and raised in Port-au-Prince Haiti. He began studying the piano at the age of six. By age 15, F.E.D had added the cello to his musical studies. As a cellist, he played in the Mini Orchestra, the Little Chamber Orchestra, and the Holy Trinity Philharmonic Orchestra - the most prestigious orchestra and musical institution in Haiti.

In 1997, F.E.D and two of his violinist friends formed the New Age Trio, which performed at many events and recitals. Three years later, he officially started his solo career when he debuted as a piano and keyboards soloist with the Holy Trinity Modern Orchestra, giving the Haitian public their first look at this talented performer’s original compositions. That same year, F.E.D recorded the soundtrack for the Haitian play, "The Legend of Quisqueya," which paints a picture of Haiti during the time of the Indians.

Soon after, he left Haiti for the United States where he earned a degree in Architecture from the City College of New York's School of Architecture. Because music was such a big part of his childhood, he never abandoned his musical studies. Between his college studies, he composed additional works, performed in local events, and participated in multiple music performance and composition contests. As a result, more people were exposed to his talents.

F.E.D's inspiration comes from his life experiences, his interest in the music of different world civilizations, and, most importantly, the expression of human emotions. His music reveals his passion for the journey of exploration and the enlightenment of discovery. F.E.D's musical sound blends contemporary electronic music, classical music, Haitian folk and konpa music, and other world influences, making for an unexpected and exotic mixture. Underlying every beat of his music is a piece of F.E.D's soul. His dreams and goals are infused into his music which include: continuing to compose music that defies borders and speaks to people of all nations, recording albums, and performing in front of audiences around the world. Central to his vision is a desire to use his music to benefit different humanitarian causes in Haiti and around the world.

Some of the most memorable performances by F.E.D to date include:
Four concerts as a soloist with the Holy Trinity Modern Orchestra in Haiti from 2000
        to 2003
F.E.D and Friends Live, Florida in 2004
Night of a Thousand Stars, Louisville, Kentucky in 2005
The CUNY-Wide Talent Show, New York City in March 2005 (F.E.D won first place)

In August 2006, F.E.D and Friends won two gold medals and two industry awards representing Haiti at the 2006 World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California. On December 20th, 2006, F.E.D was awarded the 2006 International Music Award in the Best Composition category for his piece "Reflection," which is featured on the 2006 Music Aid Awards CD. F.E.D also received a presentation Gold Disc from the Music Aid Organization for his work that year. In 2010, he received a special mention from the same organization for being a finalist once again.

His latest concert, F.E.D LIVE - THE NEW YORK PREMIER, was held in December 2007 in New York City and was an enormous success that left the audience asking for more. This concert delivered concrete proof of his relentless desire to push his artistic creations to the highest level.

The composer spent 2009 and 2010 in the studio composing and recording his first album. In December 2011, F.E.D released this much anticipated debut album titled “Awakening”, which he wrote, arranged and produced. Violinist Maestro J, violinist Maureen Manoly, and singer Annelise Collette participated in the project. Tracks include the instantly uplifting “Awakening,” the ethnic “Ascension” which is based on a Yanvalou rhythm, the exotic and nostalgic "Pays Lointain," the konpa flavored "Fantaisie," the sensual “Missing You,” and the powerful and inspiring "The Quest." This project, with its crossover style, captures a variety of moods from the energetic and dramatic to the light and romantic. With its cinematic sound, high energy, and strong memorable melodies, this album is sure to please all music lovers.

Encouraged by the success of this first album, F.E.D is now looking forward to continue presenting his music to many audiences and, to continue composing music that touches hearts and souls of people and defies borders.

Martino Vergnaghi - Biography

Martino Vergnaghi - Biography

"I was born in Milan in 1985. I started to be interested in music quite soon...when I attended the secondary school. During this period, I took piano lessons, but I wasn't a good pupil at all! I didn't study enough...I rather prefered to compose my own melodies and make my friends listen to them: here begins my story!
In the following years, I was so lucky to meet some wonderful persons, who helped me to keep on my musical research in a concrete way: infact, I joined some non-professional theatre productions, based here in Milan, who asked me to compose songs for them. I wrote several songs for stage and this experience was a very important school, for me.
But one day, I felt the need to write music just for myself. Music was becoming, for me, something more important than an hobby. I understood that, through music, I could be able to convey all my feelings, all my emotions. At the same time, I heard...I heard lots of songs, lots of instrumental pieces: new age, classical, folk music, and not just italian...I have always loved celtic sounds, but also the balkanic ones...I heard music from Australia and New Zealand, too. So, I started to write my own pieces...pieces written just for me and for people who really wanted to listen to "me".
The result of this research is the release of my first album - self produced under my own label "Bassapadanamylove". It is called "Blue star", it is composed by 10 pieces completely written by me (music, lyrics, arrangements).
So far, I have had the great joy to see my album sold in countries like USA, UK, Finland, Japan, Norway, Holland, Korea, Greece, Belgium, Denmark, Russia, Italy, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, New Zealand. It's so beautiful to be heard...it's so beautiful sharing my feelings - in music - with people!
During the exciting experience of "Blue star", I have had the big pleasure to meet - personally and virtually - many people. People who listened to me deeply, who took my music as seriously as I take it. People who believe in me and in my musical project, people who believe, like me, that music can really improve ourselves and our approach to life. People who made me think: "Yes, that's my way. Now I understand that making music is definitely what I want to do. And I want to do it following my istinct, my passion. And then, finally, I want to share it with everybody".
Meanwhile, I am growing up and I am getting older - if being 26 years old means being old! I am growing up with all the ingredients that make life spicy and flavoured: love, friendship, work, projects, moments of sandness and happiness...many dreams and much hope.
So, during this moment of my life, in order to portray every single thought and every single feeling...I am planning to release my second album. Every new song will be another new story to tell."

Mimmo D’Ippolito Starts to study Modern Keyboard / Theory at 11 years old in a private school when he was very young, in the year he continue to play, learn explore and research between many music styles, after he studied Classical Composition.

Eternalkeys Music born from the desire to combine my musical tastes in a consonant, to space, experiment, research, arrange, to have a Trademark right, his own artistic identity and originality, its own world, in general ... the feelings of real life every day from curiosity about the unknown, the mystery and spontaneity.
Where to find the roots Eternalkeys music?
Soundtracks in general (TV, movies, Anime, Video Games BackGround Music ....), In practice the atmosphere "hidden" in the foundations of films, documentaries etc. ... sounds, themes, atmospheres that exist but are not noticed and "compute" easily, some arrangement of a song that usually catches my attention ... this is also the mystery of the sound of Eternalkeys ...
There is a social issue that more than others you hold dearest and therefore inspires Eternalkeys music?
Eternalkeys is a project that highlights melancholic themes, tragic, sad moment and stories of our lives, yet it also inspired by fantastic situations: world of Dream, mind landscapes, … the charm of the mysteries that surround us also, clearly the mystery of the sound is exactly what every Eternalkeys listener expresses a different opinion, mood, and attributes its social theme for each song you listen ...
If there is a composer who inspired Eternalkeys music, what did the left?
The Composers and Musicians in general from whom I have inspired many in this "new" phase of my artistic career ... I do not have a precise reference to the most dependent 'on the type of music, composition, or sound that strikes me ...
If I can tell some composers, projects or everything I say: Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Vangelis, Nox Arcana, Chopin, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode and many others…
